One of the bigger initiatives that UPS brought our way was Access Points. The Access Points network is a series of locations where customers can have UPS packages dropped off for pickup later. Think grocery stores and dry cleaners.
The concept was completely new to American audiences, so we needed to explain the how the program worked in detail without bogging down the video and boring the viewer.
This is how “Katie” was born. The Katie character, her city, neighbors, and businesses were all designed by us as a vehicle to tell the product story. The fully animated world of Katie was so successful that we were asked to create a similar video for UPS’ “My Choice” program.
